The newly constructed Tennyson Middle School is a state-of-the-art facility designed with modern functionality and student safety in mind. Built to replace a deteriorating 1961 campus, the 180,000 SF structure accommodates 1,060 students, offering clearly delineated pathways for different programs and grade levels, enhancing both traffic flow and visibility for staff supervision. The layout encourages collaboration with specialized spaces like the music hall named after Cameron Park’s Trumpet Flower, adding a local cultural touch. The building’s open, spacious design aims to foster a positive learning environment while addressing the challenges of its predecessor.
The scope of our Waco team at Tennyson Middle School included tape, bed, and paint for gypsum board walls and ceilings; painting CMU, interior concrete, bollards, stair metals, and metal columns throughout; as well as installing digital wall covering in the entrance and library.
