Austin FC’s New Q2 Stadium

Austin FC is an American professional soccer club based in Austin, Texas. The club competes in Major League Soccer as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 2018, the club began to play in the 2021 season.

Cherry Coatings teams painted the Q2 stadium’s structural steel, exterior canopies, stairs, exposed beams, & behind the scoreboard.

Unique to the stadium’s construction includes grass which was grown and imported from Arizona.

Last August, Austin FC announced it had sold out of its season ticket memberships. Austin FC received more than 44,000 initial season-ticket deposits. In the email, the club said it would enter its inaugural season with approximately 15,500 season ticket members within the 20,500-plus seat stadium, located at McKalla Place in North Austin. 

This project, built to accommodate approximately 20,000 soccer fans, will provide the City of Austin with a park and trail access to the public 52 weeks a year. Additionally, it will offer space for cultural and community events, local food and beverage options, and much more. The Austin FC Q2 stadium will enhance the area’s North Burnet Gateway Project and will provide another space for entertainment, leisure, and outdoor activities for residents and visitors of Austin, when not being utilized as a world-class, professional soccer venue.
