Cherry Coatings Named 2024 Top Job Austin
Cherry Coatings has once again been recognized by American Painting Contractor (APC) Magazine, winning the 2024 TOP JOB Austin, TX. This prestigious award is given to only 20 projects each year across the US and Canada, celebrating superior craftsmanship and excellence in the painting industry.
This year, Cherry Coatings was honored for their exceptional work on a new children’s hospital in Austin, TX. The 365,000 square foot, 52-bed facility serves children and women, offering a range of critical services. The hospital’s design is centered on patient accessibility, with visual separators between different areas, a dedicated triage space, and a skyway directly connecting the parking garage to the hospital. The facility includes specialized areas like neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, isolation rooms for immunocompromised patients, and an in-house retail pharmacy.
Cherry Coatings’ team executed this complex project with remarkable precision, applying over 50 colors in multiple sheens throughout the hospital. The project demanded meticulous attention to detail and coordination, with more than 30 painters working each week to ensure the construction schedule was met. Foreman Alexia was instrumental in the success of this project, meticulously studying construction plans, organizing colors, leading the team, and managing documentation to secure timely payments.
