Cultivate: PM Training 2024
Our recent PM Training 2024 event was a huge success!
At Cherry Coatings, we believe in fostering a culture of continuous growth and development, which is why our core value, “Cultivate,” plays such a vital role in everything we do. This value was front and center at our recent two-day training conference, where over 70 project managers from our offices nationwide came together to learn, grow, and connect. The conference was packed with activities and sessions designed to enhance our project managers’ skills and knowledge.
Elevating Project Management
Our project managers dove into sessions focused on becoming top performers in their field. These sessions included software training and an insightful Paint 101 workshop with industry experts from Sherwin Williams. These were not just about learning new tools or brushing up on the basics; they were about cultivating an attitude of excellence and a passion for the craft that each project manager brings to their work.
Building Stronger Teams
Understanding that strong teams make successful projects, we were fortunate to have Todd Johnson lead an engaging team-building session. His insights and activities helped reinforce the importance of collaboration and communication—key elements that define how we work at Cherry Coatings.
Safety, Finances, and the Bigger Picture
Our Safety team provided critical updates, ensuring that our project managers are always equipped with the latest knowledge to maintain safe working environments. Additionally, a financial tools training session provided invaluable insights into managing budgets and financial resources efficiently. A job walk and a test at the end of the conference reinforced these lessons, giving our project managers a hands-on opportunity to apply what they had learned.
Unwinding with a Pickleball Tournament
All work and no play isn’t the Cherry Coatings way. To wrap up the event, our project managers enjoyed a fun and competitive pickleball tournament. This activity wasn’t just a way to unwind; it was another opportunity to cultivate relationships and camaraderie among our teams.
