The role of Polish Concrete Field Manager is to supervise and manage multiple flooring crews working on our job sites ensuring all project scope of work are performed on time, on budget per the contract specifications and consistently delivering our Company’s quality and safety standards. Plans, directs, and supervises the overall Flooring operations of assigned teams. CHERRY COATINGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications:
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish proficiently) is plus.
  • English ability to read, write is MUST.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of industrial flooring experience in commercial construction.
  • 1+ years’ experience working as a foreman or 1+ years as a superintendent will be considered.
  • Understanding of industrial flooring and its applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen tests.
  • Must be able to provide hands-on leadership in the field, enjoy mentoring others, have a high-level of communication, etc.
  • Computer Skills (excel, word, email) is a MUST.
  • Must have a passion for high-quality work, hardworking, and loyal.
  • Ability to travel (80%) to job sites that will require overtime, or night shifts. 
 
Role:
  • Take inventory of materials upon arrival to the job site and before completion.
  • Collaborate with Foreman to assist with new crew or foremen training on new flooring systems.
  • Assess and ensure crew leads are practicing Cherry safety and Client guidelines.
  • Jobsite QC (quality control) – Assess workmanship and efficiency while crews are working.
  • Ensure crews are working at an efficient pace & keeping to the schedule
  • Ensure poor workmanship is documented and corrected promptly.
  • Provide training if necessary
  • Check if Foreman is keeping materials and tools organized neatly on the job site
  • Observe the use of sundries and prevent wastefulness of material
  • Spot check coverage rates to minimize product waste and maximize material
  • Ensure foremen are creating work tickets when necessary
  • Ensure crews are using Cherry tools properly and responsibly
  • Avoid reckless tool use that may result in injury or damage to equipment
  • Ensure Foreman are filling out all JHA’s daily
  • Develop relationships with our clients in the field.  Gain the buy-in of our client’s project superintendent and PM to give a positive reference for future projects.  Maintain deeper connections with repeat customers – GCs, PMs, Superintendents, and Property Managers.
  • Work with our clients to set up realistic expectations
  • Address customer complaints and/or concerns with a sensory experience, wisdom, and compassion.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Respond to and minimize various job site issues before escalating to Operations Manager.
  • Report issues that may require the Operations Manager or Project Manager attention.
  • Train Foreman on how to properly handle time corrections.
  • Assist Foreman with minor disciplinary measures.
  • Report all disciplinary issues to Operations Manager.
  • Write up crew members on problems, tardiness, etc.
  • Email documentation up to Operations Manager.
  • Communicate directly with Warehouse Manager and Project Manager to coordinate supplemental material needs for job sites.
  • Assists to minimize Home Depot trips/last-minute tool or material runs.
  • Ensure crews are prepared and understand how to be prepared on job sites.
  • Identify all work ticket opportunities and discuss with PM before performing work
  • Document work ticket hours.
  • Before and After Pictures on all work tickets.
  • Immediately get work tickets signed upon completion.
  • Promptly Turn in work ticket to PM.
  • Notify Operations Manager of any schedule changes.
  • Turn in receipts to billing department weekly.
